Greetings, readers.
February has been a busy month, to say the least. On February 22, Main Street Reads in downtown Summerville, SC hosted me for an author drop-in / signing of “Soul Sprints.” It was a great morning – albeit a slow one – but it did give me a chance to interact with some readers, sell a few books, and hopefully boost the profile of “Soul Sprints,” as well as my other work.
March figures to be not quite as busy, though I do hope to use this time to put together some future events for later this year, as well as work on some current projects of original writing.
With this being the case, stay tuned for an update roughly around the end of each month, as I look forward to sharing more information about some of these events that will be coming up.
On that note, here are a few of the projects I will be working on over the next few months, both in terms of publicity for my existing work, as well as new writing projects that I’ve had in mind.
- Two author events / book-signings in northwest Florida; one of which will likely be in mid-April, and the other of which will take place in late summer (late July / early August time frame). Location, time, exact date TBD.
- “Market Days” in Summerville, SC; an excellent opportunity to once again work with Main Street Reads and sell more books.
- A monthly video series in which I talk about my books, other literature, as well as other subjects – mostly pertaining to religious faith and freedom of expression.
- Networking with various companies aimed at one day hopefully seeing my books being made into movies.
Writing projects coming up:
- A collection of short stories; one of which will be the story of a high school boy who is bullied, but manages to find his way with the help of some unlikely friends.
- My second collection of published poetry.
Again, for those of you who read my work, THANK YOU. I do not take your support and enjoyment of my writing lightly or for granted. And I do hope that you will share it and help “get the word out” as I am seeking to expand my literary reach to as many as possible.
Until then, keep reading and God bless!
John
