August 2020 Newsletter

Greetings, loyal readers! August has almost come and gone, and with it another month’s worth of busy-ness and plenty of insanity. 2020 continues to be quite the year.

Things are relatively well in my world, and I hope the same can be said for yours. I have written quite a bit over the past month – some poetry, as well as the beginning of my NEXT NOVEL which I hope to publish soon. While I do not have even a working title for this new project right now (I barely have a plot, to be honest), I am very excited about it and optimistic about completing its first draft by the end of this year.

The general story line is this: a wealthy businessman has been murdered by a member of his own private security team. The killer is a former Recon Marine who requests that his former Navy chaplain (from his old unit) come and speak to him while he is incarcerated. The chaplain agrees, and during the course of their interaction, a devastating secret about the killer’s past will come to light. More to follow later. Stay tuned.

“Treasure On The James Point,” my novella that I recently completed, has been submitted to the contest I’ve mentioned over the past two months, and I am hopeful that it will place well.

My other works, “Soul Sprints,” “Painkiller,” and my works of poetry, are still available for purchase on my website. Please feel free to purchase a copy (or several) and do share my website with as many people as you can so that its profile can be raised!

You can also now find me on YouTube!

Words Matter Publishing, my publishing agency, is branching out and is now hosting a series of video programs, one of which features me. Please check it out and encourage others to do the same!

Thank you all, as always, for your support. Praying that the month of September is a smooth one for everyone, as autumn approaches.

Blessings.

John
