September 2020
Loyal Readers,
Been another busy month. Work, life, and writing have continued to dominate my days as they zip on by.
There really isn’t much to report this month, all things considered. Still have a lot of irons in the fire; still a lot of writing projects; still slogging through the quagmire of 2020. I continue to await word on my novella – “Treasure On The James Point” – as to how it fared in the contest in which I submitted it earlier in the summer. Those results will not be out until early 2021, so this is definitely a waiting game.
The air is cooler, making the days more pleasant, which lends itself to inspiration, I’ve always found. I continue to write poetry – lots of it – much of which can be found posted publicly on my author Facebook page (www.facebook.com/jwgibsonauthor). I encourage you to check it out, and give me plenty of feedback!
My Navy chaplain story, which I mentioned in last month’s newsletter, is progressing – slowly but surely, like most of my other projects. And I have a few short story ideas still in the works. And I hope to share some of that material with you once it is finished and suitable for sharing.
Definitely a shorter newsletter than usual. But again, thank you for staying tuned in and I hope to have more news for you this time next month. Who knows? Maybe instead of Halloween candy, I can hand out written work. J
Have a blessed month!
John
